Ellen's store

 Ellen Maher Murphy's obituary says that she (and her husband) ran a boarding house for a number of years near the railroad tracks "where men who were employed on the road had their residences". What the obituary didn't mention is that Ellen also maintained a store of some type as well. I learned this from the Little Falls historian. Although I have not yet found a mention of the store in the Little Falls Directories, I did find two small advertisements in the Little Falls Evening Journal in January of 1899. One was posted on 4 January and the other 17 January. Both advertisements were the same:
